Kara Mann Design Studio is located in Chicago, founded in 2005 by founder and creative director Kara Mann. The goal is to create an environment that is known for fashion, art, and design as well as re-imagining the possibilities of space design.

Kara Mann studied art at Taurang, focusing on ceramics. He graduated from Tulane University's School of Design's interior design and later worked as a fashion and interior designer. Her work draws on all these experiences and extensive cultural references, including iconic fashion houses (Alexander McQueen, St. Laurent, Rick Owens), contemporary art and architecture (Anish Kapoor, Caromo Reno, Carlos Capa, Josef DiLand) and classical interior design.

In 2011, she expanded her company to Manhattan, where she continued to work with internationally renowned clients and industry leaders. In 2015 she launched a series of new furniture and accessories for the respected American company Baker Furniture and is currently developing a second set of furniture for the brand.
